Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to your burning questions about joining our Talent Agency!
-
Should I pay for my child to join a talent agency?Other than some small admin fees a talent agent should not be charging for membership. A talent agency will however take a percentage of fees earned by clients on professional engagements. All clients will however need to have professional headshots. As young people are forever changing we recommend that these are updated annually and will need to be paid for by the client.
-
Is my child guaranteed to get professional work? While we will always strive to ensure that all our clients are well represented and submitted for professional engagements, we class ourselves as responsible agents and therefore will only submit our clients for opportunities that we feel they have a chance of succeeding. Not all casting/audition opportunities will result in securing the job.
-
How long is the contract with Clarke and Demmers valid for?All contracts will be offered on a 12-month review. After 12 months either party has the right not to renew. There will be a 14-day cooling off period after the signing date, where both parties can withdraw from the contract. -
-
What is the Clarke and Demmers policy on change of appearance? If your child is looking to make any changes to their appearance such as a change of hair colour or different hairstyle, please consult Clarke and Demmers before doing so, as this may affect your child's casting type.
-
Why would my child not be offered representation by Clarke and Demmers? Not being offered representation is rarely down to talent. On most occasions, it will be because we already represent one or more young people who are the same casting type as your child.
